Texas screws Cal and the pac-10 again

Im sure most Cal fans remember when Texasand Mack Brown screwed Cal out of the Rose Bowl in 2004 which would have been a big deal considering Cal hadnt been to a Rose bowl since 1959, almost as long as my parents have been alive. This time Texas screwed Cal in the potential expansion plans that Pac-10 comissioner Larry Scott had when trying to expand the pac-10 into the Pac-16. Texas baited and made it seem like they were going to join the pac and then we end up stuck with Utah and Colorado. This is like expecting a cake made by Duff from Ace of Cakes and getting a Costco cake instead. Getting Texas and Oklahoma would have really elevated the level of play in the pac. Plus it would have allowed the pac to keep the original pac 8 in one division which would have been oregon, osu, UW, WSU, Cal, furd, fucla, and u$c in the same division with the big 12 defects and arizona schools in the other. Now it looks like cal will be split from fucla and u$c in different divisions with the expansion to only 12 meaning we will lose out on our natural rivalries with fucla and the cheaters, u$c. This is not good for Cal, these rivalries mean a lot to the fan base and to recruiting. As fans we love to play and compete with ucla and u$c for california supremacy. for recruiting the annual trip to LA means that potential LA recruits get their annual visit to play in front of family. With this expansion to the pac-12, cal loses, and its all thanks to Texas again. I really hope we sweep the home and home in 2014 and 2015, there is no revenge sweeter than beating them on the field and would be nice to ruin a couple of Mack Brown's seasons. stay classy Texas, stay classy.
