Cal quarterback Kevin Riley has made the watch list for the Manning Award which is given to the best quarterback in the country annually at the end of the year according to Jonathan Okanes
Hopefully, this gives Riley the motivation to become the best quarterback in the country this season and win the Manning Award. Now can any Cal fan imagine Riley holding this trophy at the end of the year? It will only happen if Riley has a huge season and leads the Bears to Rose Bowl or National Championship. It is a longshot but realisticly Riley can have a good season and I believe can have become a consistent quarterback which in Tedford's system will make Riley's numbers look pretty good. Let's all hope that if Riley doesn't win the Manning Award, he at least comes close and leads Cal to that mythical Rose Bowl appearance and unlike the ducks last year, a Rose Bowl win.
